Bart, Alexandra and Charles have worked on the scenography of the drama Astrée X written and staged by Gildas Loupiac, for a creation freely inspired by Terry Gilliam…

It’s a scenography made of video mapping, with sounds, lights and videos interactivities. To be completely free in following the actors, I’m using several software, such as Live, Modul8, MadMapper and Max (for the special Monome Module), and make them works together.

Astrée X
Frédéric never leaves home and never sees anyone. He has a telecommuting work and when he needs something, it is delivered. His everyday life, immutable, seems written in stone… Until a mysterious girl burst into his life…
The play, between utopia and science fiction, is asking for the place of the other when the technology is building is own reality, between us and the world, when virtuality comes true.
The scenography was designed to show this omnipresence of the virtual, using video mapping, video, sounds and light interactivities to create the space, the flat of Frederic, where the action takes place. It’s a living place, a sprawling matrix, stilfling, but probably also an illusion created by humans to rock his eternal solitude.

Written and staged by: Gildas Loupiac
Scenography: Barthélemy Antoine-Loeff and Alexandra Petracchi
Sound design: Charles Dubois
Costumes: Marilyne Morel
With: Thomas Lequesne, Géraldine Szajman and Etienne Bodi

If you follow our work, maybe you’ve seen something about Millumin. If not, you have to know that Millumin is a new software created by Philippe (Anomes) from iduun, dedicated to audiovisual show.

Of course, we will use this software for our next performance… and maybe for Kadâmbini, because it owns some very usefull stuffs such as a timeline, one of the many functionalities that’s missing today in our work. Here is a small preview in video…

If you want to know more about Millumin, take a look at the official website and the facebook page.
